Baltic Workboats has completed its contract following the commissioning of eight 14-meter patrol boats „Patrol 130“ for the Bulgarian Border Police.
These fast patrol boats will enable the Bulgarian Border Police to provide sustained surveillance in the country’s internal waters on Danube River and the EU-s east border on Black Sea.
The Bulgarian Border Police has described the speed and maneuverability of its Baltic Workboats-built 13,75 -meter patrol boats as “impressive” following recent sea trials both in Black Sea and in Danube River.
Sea trials demonstrated excellent maneuverability of the lightweight, all aluminum platform, which achieved a maximum speed of more than 40 knots, as well as a small tactical diameter and short crash stop distance.
The propulsion package includes: twin Volvo-Penta D 11-600 diesel engines rated for 441kW at 2,100rpm, ZF 305-2 marine gears, and Hamilton 322 water jets.
Flexible mounted wheelhouse ensures reduced vibration and lowered noise level in working premises.
The tailor made „Patrol 130“ patrol boat wheelhouse is comprehensively equipped to enable all needed modern navigation and surveillance procedures.
The client also required accommodation to include four shock mitigation seats, same number of berths, kitchenette, WC, shower, hot and cold water and full air conditioning.
