Handed over to Lithuanian Klaipeda State Seaport Authorities, Baltic 2400 Buoy-Tender, is named “LOTAS”.
The “LOTAS” is 24 meters in length, breadth 6.3 meters and with draught of 1.5 meters in full load displacement, 106 tons.
Its dimensions make it ideal for operations in the shallow and limited water areas as rivers and estuaries but also in small ports, which have reduced maneuvering spaces and are especially limited in depth.
The vessel will navigated the Klaipeda Seaport area and Curonian Lagoon, measuring the depth of the channels, the movement and setting of beacons, and managing floating navigation marks.
Vessels FPPs are powered by two 302 kW, 2100rpm SISU 84 CTIM engines.
Vessel is equipped with two BMG-65 gensets with output each 65 kW.
Aft deck features the hydraulic Palfinger 18500 crane able to hoist 1 ton from 10 m.
The wheelhouse includes separate Laboratory for hydrographic equipment and large bridge area with seating’s and navigation equipment. The bridge is fitted with all the specific equipment required for navigation in A1 region.
The vessel is designed to be operated by a crew of two, and carry 5 hydrographers.
Passenger lounge is located on the lower deck. Crew accommodation consists of double cabin in fore part and separate captain cabin located in the middle of hull.
Vessel is built according to Russian Maritime Register of Shipping rules and has KM-ICE1-R3 class notation.
