Baltic Workboats has delivered the second of our Pilot 2000 WP – DanPilot Bravo – to Danish state maritime piloting company DanPilot thereby completing the order of 2 harsh-weather pilot boats for DanPilot signed last spring.
The Pilot 2000 WP is Baltic Workboat’s very own design of a heavy-weather 20-metre aluminium pilot boat. Thanks to special hull design she can perform at stormy seas with significantly decreased vertical acceleration thus remarkably improving crew comfort. For winter use her hull is reinforced to withstand light ice conditions (conditions relevant to southern Baltic and Danish waters).
The vessels for DanPilot are be powered with twin Volvo Penta D16MH main engines, each producing 478 kW at 1800 rpm, coupled with ZF665 marine gearboxes and a pair of fixed pitch propellers.
Pilot 2000 WP has state of the art seakeeping capabilities and extremely comfortable ride due to the minimum vertical accelerations compared to conventional hulls. The vessels are also famous for their low noise levels with 62db in the wheelhouse at 22kn speed and low fuel consumption.
We wish her safe seas!
